About us

HELP THE PEOPLE IN NEED

Welcome To Durgawati Blood Center

Durgawati Blood Center was created within the Department of Pathology at Duragwati Hospital.

Durgawati Blood Center was created to meet the increasingly large and complex transfusion needs of Duragwati Hospital at Gorakhpur, and to perform research and teaching.

From the beginning, we have been out front on industry challenges by being ready with testing well in advance of a public health concern. Our mindset has always been one of prevention, preparedness and safety of the blood supply. As the needs of the transplant and transfusion industries have grown increasingly complex, and as our hospital partners have increased in scale and numbers, we have expanded to meet demand, while maintaining our dedication to the well-being of the community and patients we serve.

LEARN ABOUT DONATION

‘The human body contains five liters of blood, which Is made of several useful components i.e. Whole blood, Platelet, and Plasma.

  • Eat an iron-rich meal. Eating enough iron is essential to ensuring that your hemoglobin level is right for donating.
